The Deep Cave At the base of the cliff is a low, wide opening, which a wolf or lion could struggle through. The going is made difficult by thick stalagtites, but a little way in the tight passage opens into a large, beautiful cavern, the roof faintly lit by light shimmering from the surface of a subterranian pool. In the far wall, other passages wind away: who knows where they lead?
